Having spent a chunk of my life in Huntsville, AL (with the Von Braun Center, etc), that is indeed hilarious.
I have a photo of my father in law (Nick Vojvodich, Stanford '57 and '59) with von Braun. Nick spent his career at NASA, starting out on the Mercury and Gemini missions. von Braun was tall, 6'1", but Nick was a center on the basketball team and stood 6'8". When he went to Germany, they referred to him as the "two meter man". Nick really liked working with the German scientists.
