From a monetary view, is in-person attendance important?  Aren't TV appearances and TV viewers more important financially?  (Ok, "TV" is an anachronism.... Sorry)   Shouldn't we be talking about how to get more publicity for the public to tune in? 

I probably will skip going to the So. Carolina game if I think I will have 8 people within 6 feet of me yelling for maybe two hours.  There is a limit as to how much I trust my mask and vaccinations.   The incremental value of going to the game in person versus seeing it on TV may not be enough to justify the potential risk of an infection.  (Covid is climbing again in this area - higher now than anytime except in the 3 peaks.  Flu is climbing rapidly.  So is RSV.)

I'll go to the Cal Poly game and sit up in the top of the stands, with no one behind me yelling down the back of my shirt.

Stay home then. I will be there along with what I hope is a packed Maples Pavillion on Sunday! This is not a thread about Covid so keep your comments in that regard to yourself. It is not simply about money. Who wants to play a game in an almost empty arena.  How is that fun? Player experience and fan engagement matters and our student athletes deserve a chance to play in front of large crowds and on national tv. Sunday they will get to experience both and it’s going to be awesome!
