Further to my just prior comment about underperforming our recruiting,
Here's how our recruiting out-performed 3 of our competitors so far this season,
and yet we found a creative way to lose the actual games to all 3:

Recruiting ranking per 247 Sports

All 3 of those opponents have at least 4 transfers in their rotation. A lot of opponents' players from these classes don't even play there anymore, as they were "pushed out" to make way for transfers.

Good point. 
Looking at the contributions from transfers, SDSU and Ole Miss getting a lot, but Wisc not so much as most their contribution seems to be from recruits, like us.
And yet our 10 point game loss.
