UCLA gets a measuring stick game tomorrow vs South Carolina in Columbia. But they might get a big break. Aliyah Boston injured her ankle over the weekend and may not be ready. Coach Staley said that her availability will be a game time decision.

I thought this might be a down year for the Pac-12, but Utah, Arizona, Oregon, and UCLA all seem better than I expected.  It will be very difficult for us to get through the entire Pac 12 without a loss as we did a year ago, even though we may have the most talent.  The Utah beat-down of Oklahoma was particularly eye-opening.  Eager to see how UCLA does with South Carolina, and how Arizona does with Baylor. 

Then we can all start beating up on each other. 

My gut tells me all four of those teams are better than anyone else we will play in the pre-season other than South Carolina--although I might have to eat my words if Gonzaga, Creighton, or Tennessee give us a bad time.  In any case, we want our Pac-12 opponents to win against out-of-conference opponents to improve our own NET.
