On the Cardboard, we avoid political discussion.  The feelings on such topics run deep and if everyone expressed their own feelings publicly, that could well lead to a breakdown of the community.  So, we agree to avoid the potential confrontations so we can have the community.

Perhaps a similar situation exists on the WBB team.

That could well be the purpose of silence.  There is no way to tell.  The team does however, risk falling to the whim of the gods of unintended consequences , if it does not explain what it is doing. Perhaps a note to NA singer that absence of team had nothing to do with her or either version of the NA she performed?  But that gets pretty cumbersome pretty quickly doesn’t it?
