Wouldn’t that be admitting that the Pac-12 is notch below the Big 10?
Given that advantages of the PAC-12 in terms of rivalries and travel, it would be unwise for the Regents to undermine the PAC-12 further in this way.
It is amazing how many people equate money with better (even many on this board).
Stanford did not hire the most expensive coach it could find; it hired the coach who was the best fit. Stanford and the Pac-12 can have a satisfying future while living on a budget.
