Will we have to have Prime to watch Stanford football games?

Distribution on Amazon Prime would be WAY better than Pac-12 Network. 

I confess I don't know what Amazon Prime is.  Would it cost me more than my current cable subscription which includes Pac 12 Networks?  And would they do a package which includes all the non-football sports that Pac 12 Networks cover, or would it be a revenue-sports only deal?  And which side of the "revenue-sports" do they put WBB?  And could I get it on my TV via cable or would it only work on my computer via internet?

Sorry for my dumb questions, I am not media savvy in the slightest degree.
