I wonder how much of the new military aid package had to be delayed until after the NDAA and omnibus spending bills passed Congress right before the holidays.  I'm guessing that's a major reason we're only seeing some of this gear being promised to Ukraine now.  If true, it's unfortunate that political wrangling that's mostly unrelated to the situation in Ukraine actually cost lives and prevented Ukraine from making more progress on the battlefield.
