Biden still has a lot of freedom of action when it comes to sending existing US weapons as aid. But sending new gear to Ukraine could be held up by McCarthy or the pro-Putin hard right who are holding him hostage.
Certainly a debt-ceiling standoff could affect normal military and government functioning as well in negative ways for Ukraine.
Would you provide some names of Congressmen who are backing Putin in this war?
