I doubt there is much chance Erdogan will approve the Swedes before his re-election.  After that, he'll have the freedom to do what he wants if it benefits him.  I remain optimistic that Sweden/Finland and NATO effectively can bribe Erdogan to get his approval.

Me too. The amount and nature of the additional "bribery" required is a bit tricky, and I suspect some of it will have to come from the US. This is not new, and has been pretty much expected for some time.
