Great analysis, 81Alum. You lay out so well all the reasons I'm so nervous about this game. I don't think we can get the same "wow" performance from both Cam and Haley again (tho I certainly hope we do). We will need others to step up more. I'd like to see more of Fran on the floor. At times last night against Utah, she brought of immense proportions energy to the game, including sparking better rebounding. IMHO, she's being underused -- not the best defender or on offense, but a rebounder who makes others on the team improve their rebounding.

I share your concern. Given what we know about what Colorado brings to the game, Cam and Haley will have to work harder to get past their defenders than they did against the Utah posts. Pili was tough, but she is short. Colorado has height and strength inside, much as USC did. (I sat in the Galen Center last week and experienced the pain of that one.)
As for Fran, she is recovering from a slow-healing injury to her thumb support. I’m sure the coaches have the medical advice on how to best insure her recovery. She gets some playing time and seems to be contributing to the team effort and is well-liked (obvious from the fan responses every time she gets in or make a good play). We need to be patient, as the coaches seem to be, to ensure her complete recovery. We will definitely need her presence as the season progresses!
