A bit of a "feel good" article, but it touches on what is going to be a very big problem when a lot of new tanks show up in Ukraine. A tank is at least 500 times as complicated as an M777. One can't underestimate the learning curve to operate the tank at all, let alone fix/maintain it. Right now, the German army can't fix their own tanks. We are now expecting Ukraine to do so after a very "short course" in how to do it. These "chat rooms" are supplying the experienced "old soldier" information on these weapons that Ukraine does not yet have. They will have it, because they are getting it now, the "hard way". The problem is that a tank battle is not a good place to discover you need to call somebody to help you fix your tank.
