A big aspect of the game that can't be scouted is the refs. Tight or loose? Benefit to the home team or not?
In our loss, not counting the last 3 minutes of the game (when the team behind usually fouls a lot), Stanford was called for 17 fouls to USC's 8 by Ellis, Murray, Gonzalez, giving USC +4 in FTA at that point. (USC hit 8 of 12 FTA in that last 3 minutes).
Oddly, but as best I can tell, not a single offensive foul was called.
