The daily battlefield updates are inscrutable to me. The diplomatic issues seem far more likely to affect the outcome of the war. China potentially breaking the sanctions regime is important. Same with the anticipated “peace proposal” from the big 3 in Western Europe. Both of those recent developments seem a bit ominous for Ukraine, but if the battlefield is poker, then the diplomacy table may involve some cloak and dagger.
