A few small things:
1. Did anyone notice in the 4th quarter the track meet baseline out of bounds play where four players lined up like they were going to run the 100, and they all took a couple of steps forward in sync? I don’t remember seeing that before.
2. Lepolo was consciously pushing the tempo up the court to initiate the offense before Oregon could set up on the defensive end. This was highly effective and a nice adjustment.
3. Instead of always fast breaking after a rebound, Jump stayed sometimes stayed home, blocked out and got some boards. This was one of a couple of small adjustments to cut down on the number of O boards that the other teams have been getting. 5 boards for her.
4. Even though Belibi doesn’t have a reliable outside shot, she’s very effective at the high post or the elbow because she has good rhythm with Jump, Jones, and Brink. She’s great with the hand off ball screen, and has a good sense of how to make the post entry pass. Great energy and decision making from her today.
5. It should be illegal to have Missy AND Benny reffing the same game.
