Here's a rumor: Stanford and Notre Dame have always been thought to be a B1G package, but it's actually the ACC that gets to open that present. Notre Dame is already essentially an ACC member in all sports except football. Makes sense.

If Notre Dame is gettable for the Big Ten, maybe this dalliance is what gets Stanford into the Big Ten on something like what UW/UO got?
