Now is the time to start accepting the ACC future rather than the Pac-12 present and Pac-10 past.

Football - Having 4 or more games in the South every year has to be a net positive for recruiting in that region.   Travel sucks, but UCLA, USC, UW, Oregon and Cal will all have a number of 4+ hour flights too.

Men's Basketball - This is a massive positive for the program.   What recruit wouldn't be more excited about UVa, UNC, Duke, NSU and Wake than the current Pac-12 opponents?  Way better for their actual personal NILs too.

Soccer?  Field Hockey?  Lacrosse?  Golf? -  The benefits of improved competition and games in a critical recruiting region will be epic.

I still see the ACC as a row boat in stormy seas, but the row boat is better than the sinking ship that was the Pac-4.

I also hope the Stanford BoT is preparing for life after football, since it is highly unlikely Stanford will be in the mix when the NCAA distills down to ~32-36 teams in two super conferences.   The next wave probably will start with the ACC disbanding, so best for Stanford to be prepared for the next shake-up.
