I have a 40 year history of loving Stanford sports and am thankful for the ACC lifeboat.
That being said, this sucks. With the move to the ACC, I love Stanford sports less today than I did a year ago and expect to love them less again next year. I don’t see that trend reversing soon. And, in the Bay Area there are lots of options. Don’t expect the average fan to be pleased by today’s news, it’s just lipstick and pigs.
How about that Giant baseball play-off chase anyway? And it’s a week until we get to watch Christian McCaffery and the 49ers, right? Plus, I’ve got a Fantasy Football draft on Sunday. I might catch the Stanford/Hawaii score somewhere in between, if I still care.
That’s what should worry our next AD

In 1938 Neville Chamberlain declared "Peace in our time", Superman first appeared in Action Comics, Seabiscuit beat War Admiral ....... and C.a.l last won the Rose Bowl.
