Unconfirmed at this point, but it's possible the successful attack on the Black Sea Fleet headquarters in Sevastopol took out the its commander. 

Each side minimizes reports of their losses, but earliest reports had no injuries, then 1 dead which was changed to 1 missing.  Ukraine source indicated they wished for a larger hole in the building. 
But, if you know where the commander's office is, and you can hit that exact spot, you don't need much of an entry wound to the building...

I was wondering why there wasn't a second action against naval forces timed to start with the attack on the HQ..  If the chain of command is in flux or using secondary comms channels, the response by Russia might be delayed.
