Prime Time has the same loyalty to Colorado as he did to the players he ran off. He will do well for maybe two/three years. Then "something" will happen and he will leave, one way or another. Could be the NFL, could be someplace like A&M who will pay him a lot, or it could be something regarding his or his players conduct. All equally probable. The mess that he will leave behind might take some sorting out. He isn't in it for the "long haul".(10-19-2023, 09:58 AM)Vandelay Wrote:(10-18-2023, 08:05 AM)fullmetal Wrote: Not a big story, but Fisher Anderson said out loud what most of us here believe. He's welcome to his opinion but it is also undeniable that Colorado is a much better team than they were last year. Which of these two teams has a brighter future? I would say Colorado, hands down.
I would say Stanford, heads up. You can't build a solid team on idolatry, braggadocio, swagger, and "I just wanna win! Lose and you're outta here."
Shaw was here for 12 years, and the Sheriff was here for 7 years. The other five coaches since 1989 averaged three years each (Green, Walsh II, Teevens, Harris, Harbaugh). Hopefully we get a long-termer...

However, I will note that Lincoln Riley ran players off his team when he was hired at USC and recruited transfers like he was Goldman Sachs going after top MBAs. Yet I have not heard his program characterized as "mercenary."
Looking ahead, who would be the most aggressive team in the ACC with regard to transfers?
Florida State and Miami. They're listed in the Top 10.
