Sorra/Glagau apparently had an easy time with #2 seed from Ukraine, advancing to the quarterfinals, 21-11, 21-13.
They play again at 10pm (PST) tonight.
Unfortunately, Wilson/Morin had a tough match against the #1 seed, a team from Thailand, who obviously had the crowd on their side. USA won the first set 21-15, and were up by a point (13-12) in the second when I started watching. But the Thais took it 22-20. The Americans fell behind in the third, down 10-5, got back within two at 12-10, but then were down 14-10. They held off four match points to tie it, but couldn't get any farther, losing 16-14. (They actually scored more points over the three sets, but of course, that doesn't matter). So they end tied for 9th.
