Time to bet on the Jags. Just saw this, tho posted late last night. Feliciano to start. Hopefully he takes off his roller skates first.

But Williams is playing. Whoops. I may be wrong on that. Left side of o line was to be the strong side. Not currently.

This will be the best game in the NFL this week. I actually think the 49ers win this one. Perfect storm last three weeks, plus they added Chase.
Niners win if they're rested, if they get Trent Williams back, if Feliciano is no worse than a net neutral at left guard, if Purdy shakes off three tough weeks against three angry aggressive opponents. Also, if the DL finally, finally lives up to their billing, and Wilks' move to the sideline is helpful (I don't honestly see how it can be, Fangio stayed upstairs). They have to stop Jags running game, and the Jags need to keep their offense on the field to tire out the 49ers.
Jacksonville wins if Lawrence gets time to throw and if they can score off of a turnover. They've won five in a row for a reason. At the same time, the Jags have given up the ball eight times in those five wins. Jags are tied for league high total of fumbles lost. That's not sustainable. At the same time, they're tied for the league-high takeaway total on defense. So the first team to give up a turnover loses. If Niners return to ball control, they win.
Jaguar reporters think this will be a statement win for the Jags, BTW. Jags are 6-2 ATS, the 49ers are 4-4. 49ers are three point favorites. 49ers have fourth best scoring offense and yards compiled in NFL. 8th best passing offense and fifth best rushing offense. Jags offensive numbers are just decent and their pass defense is 30th ranked in the NFL. Jags struggle in the red zone, they're 27th in the league in 3rd down conversions. Lawrence is a scrambling threat, Niner DL and LBs need to be aware. Jacksonville hs 4th ranked run defense.
Secret weapon for the 49ers is that the Jags' GM is Trent Baalke. No good can come of that for the Jags.
Some sportswriters are calling this an early Super Bowl matchup.
One negative for me: game starts at 10 a.m. body clock time. Not good for the 49ers.
Jags run the ball fairly well. Etienne is a good dual threat back. They defend the run very well. IMO that is where this game will be won or lost. The Niners philosophy offensively and defensively is predicated on the run. If they can’t run again this week and they don’t do a better job against a solid running team then they have done the last couple weeks against teams that don’t run particularly well, they will be in trouble. Get Jags in second and third and long. Lawrence makes big throws . He’s also prone to mistakes.
Also, they need to step up on third down. The defense has to get off the flipping field. They haven’t been able to the last couple weeks.
Jags are a solid balanced and right now confident team. Tough game.
