With our recent history, 1 NCAA tourney appearance in 16 seasons, the cupboard with regard to talent and the roster isn't completely empty, but it's going to take a major rebuild and culture change. There is major apathy within the MBB fan base and for good reason, not a lot to be excited about.
I don't know that too many big name coaches would be interested in rebuilding at Stanford. We have our challenges with NIL and the portal and everything else people like to use against us.
That being said, there's got to be a high quality candidate out there interested in all we have to offer and ready for the challenge. We just need to go find him. Muir can take full responsibility for Haase not working out as planned as he hired him. Do I think he intents to make the same mistake again? I hope not. I hope we spend the money and commit the resources to find the right the person (if this is Haase's last season).
