Watched this game on TV. USC, however many losses they may be wearing, is objectively superior from a talent standpoint. Among their supporting cast is the son of LeBron James, who was too good for college. Going in I knew that if they played as much as their B+ game, we were going to lose, and the Trojans were hitting threes from Catalina Island so........ well, yeah. This was not a bad loss, it'll probably be a Quad 1 loss on the sheet, and we were able to march up to the gate but couldn't batter it down and got repelled at the end.
Carlyle makes our team legitimately competitive, unlike past Haase teams, but we dug a h.u.g.e hole while he was out of the equation and it is unclear if we're going to be able to climb all the way out. Just hope to beat these guys in Maples later in the year.

“You often hear in chess and other sports that ‘this player is more talented’ but ‘that player works harder.’ This is a fallacy. Hard work is a talent. The ability to keep trying when others quit is a talent.” --- Garry Kasparov
