But wow, the defense was both awful (wide open receivers, slow to stop the run/seal the edge) and incredible (Stop on 4th and 1 (and 3rd and 1), two critical interceptions). Brock will have better days but he did put together his best drive when it mattered most. On to the NFC championship.
It felt like at least three of the times the receivers were wide open were because the DB had slipped. I know that can happen when it's rainy, but it somehow seems worse when it's your own field that's slipping you up (especially since the opponent didn't seem to have that problem).
No turnovers by Purdy. It basically holds if he throws INTs they lose and if he doesn't they win. Granted it was a dumb luck there weren't a few INTs this game. And the win was barely and not pretty. But still, it was a one possession game, and being the team gaining the turnovers rather than losing them was the key stat.
