Belichick has only had one interview and no offers. 

Why?

Simple. He is too old. The only places that would want him are the ones that believe they have all the ingredients except a proper coach and can win it all next year for sure if they get one. Nobody is in that situation. Even if they were, Belichick would have to buy into that scenario. He is too smart for that.

and he probably wants a similar situation to what he had in New England where he pretty much ran the show, not many owners appear willing to give that amount of power to one person

I wonder how much power Harbaugh will have with the Chargers...and how much power he'll want.

Just for grins, I calculated George Halas' winning percentage during each of his six decades in coaching, which weren't consecutive. He didn't coach from 1930 to 1932, or during the last three years of WWII, or 1956 and 1957.

Interesting results. He started coaching at age 25 and left coaching at age 72. Here's the winning percentage by his age range (with the number of NFL championships in brackets). I omitted ties entirely and calculated solely on Ws and Ls:

20s 84.3% (1)
30s 71.9% (1)
40s 75.3% (2)
50s 63.8% (1)
60s 61.4% (1)
70s 53.8% (0)

Halas really started to decline (relative to the other coaches) at about age 56. He only had one losing season in the 25 years prior to that age, from 56 on he had nine winning seasons and five losing seasons.
