Bill Belichick has 6 Super Bowl, 31 playoff wins, 302 regular season wins...and zero job offers.

Seven teams needed new head coaches, and three (including Harbaugh to the Chargers) have found theirs. Atlanta, Carolina, Seattle and Washington have yet to find theirs.

Belichick has only had one interview and no offers. 

Why?

Simple. He is too old. The only places that would want him are the ones that believe they have all the ingredients except a proper coach and can win it all next year for sure if they get one. Nobody is in that situation. Even if they were, Belichick would have to buy into that scenario. He is too smart for that.

While this factor is indeed a critical one, during the Patriots' winning of six rings over two decades there was a raging debate over who was due more credit for the success -- Belicheck or Tom Brady.  When Brady left New England for the Buccaneers and won a seventh ring, at an age east of 40 no less, a number of armchair pundits claimed that the argument was resolved in favor of Brady, who now had a championship without Belicheck while the reverse has not occurred.  This is probably not the main reason Belicheck is relatively unattractive to NFL franchises currently, but it rates to be an influence on their thought processes.
