The long rumored change has now come to pass. We will see what it means as it plays out. There are lots of possible good reasons to replace General Valeriy Zaluzhnyi. It may be that Zelenskiyy just thought Zaluzhnyi was "burned out" and that new thinking was needed. There are also obviously many not-so-good reasons to make the change. We can only hope that none of those played too big a role. General Oleksander Syrskyi is certainly qualified for the role. He has a big task ahead to keep everybody "inside the tent". Lets hope he can.
