On the day the figures were released, SF settled quickly with Estrada, Wade and Tyler Rogers. Only Davis opted to go to a hearing (over $350,000 - the Giants offered $6.55M and Davis wanted $6.9M).
Davis’ agent really screwed up. As Lex noted, the interest in Chapman was well-known. Why didn’t the agent counsel Davis to take the Giants’ offer? I wonder if he fully understood the rules.
If he didn’t, the agent REALLY screwed up. One thing - I don’t know if the $6.55M was offered pre-arb. In others words, the last offer could have been less.
The $6.55M was the Giants arb. offer.

I know. That doesn’t mean it was their last offer prior to Arbitration. It may have been. But they also could have been lower prior to submitting their arbitration number.
