Women’s basketball Bracket Watch: Stanford or Texas for the fourth NCAA Tournament No. 1 seed? - The Athletic


The author of this article has Stanford getting the remaining #1 seed over the heifers.  Reasoning is that Stanford has more wins over top teams than the heifers and the Pac 12 is much stronger that the Big 12.

I think this makes sense. The regular season winner of the best conference shouldn't be punished too badly for losing one game to the conference's second best team that is also a #1 seed. Following along with the author, even if Texas were to get the #1 seed, we would probably end up as the top #2 seed and be in the same bracket as Texas which I think is a way better matchup than LSU. I don't like seeing the Zags as our #4 though. They are a tough out as a #4, and it's never good to have to face a team who's already beaten you.  

I would also be psyched to see LSU and USC in the same bracket. What a fun game that would be!
