It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Lengthy travel to the Southeast is a rather significant negative for the coach and his team.
However, coaching in the ACC remains a great option for coaches with ambition and should be a recruiting positive too.
I just wish this had happened 12 months ago. Though looking across the USA many quality D1 programs have been able to convince their successful alums to come back to campus no matter what the level of compensation or success at their current program.
While I am thankful Muir finally has realized this needed to happen, that 12-48 month delay should be enough for us to see a similar message about his tenure IMO.
