Tom Davis left Stanford after 4 seasons when he came to realize how hard it was going to be to get the players he thought he needed to win at Stanford. Trent Johnson left after 4 seasons under similar circumstances. Jerod Haase on the other hand recruited hard and successfully. He brought 5 star talent to Stanford. Maybe the talent didn't develop the way he (or we) expected and his teams didn't jell. But Haase did disprove the belief that Stanford could not compete for elite talent. 

I hope that Muir will find a new coach with that same fire and enthusiasm for going after top recruits. And who is better than Haase at developing players who play hard, smart, fundamentally sound ball.
