DeCuire is not successful enough for me. He peaked midway through his tenure at Montana, has only coached a top 100 team once ever, and in the last six years peaked at #137. Just not successful enough to warrant a power conference shot.
Turner is much more attractive and was on my list. Not super high on my list but that would be a defensible hire. His trajectory in terms of national ranks is 218, 249, 147, 90, 91, 84, 139, 147, 73, 106, 107, 133, 104, 73. I think we can do better but don’t totally dismiss his candidacy. Low end of what I would consider acceptable.
