With respect to the power issue, the Giants had 174 HRs last year, under the 196 MLB team average. 

I think we can safely assume that Bailey, Lee and Ahmed will produce around 20. Chapman, Wade, Conforto, Yaz, Estrada, Sabol and Soler should average 20 between them. That's 160 total, add another 35 from various bench sources and the Giants get to league average. I don't see much better than that.

As for the additional wins, I would hope that subtractions of underperformers like Crawford, Haniger, DeSclafani, Stripling, Junis, Brebbia, Manaea, Alexander and others will be addition through subtraction; and the addition of the free agents and another year of maturation for the young ones should result in 10-15 additional wins. If the management, as you and Lex say, is so much more positive and additive than Kapler's, it seems to me that this team should have 15-20 additional wins. Personally, I question whether Melvin can add that much, I think his floor can be pretty low. Very concerned about his stewardship of an outstanding roster last year that barely squeaked over the .500 mark.

Still, it's an exciting lineup and I'll be buying tickets this year. I don't attend games to watch the manager or PA announcer, I want to see successful players, and I think Farhan and management have done what they needed to do.
