Since when? This must be a change? Glad they didn't have that policy when I applied, or I wouldn't be a Stanford Alum... =)

yes, unless things have changed they will accept you as a junior, but at least back in the day you could only bring up to 90 units with you.  My class ('82) has ~200 total transfers in, ~100 transferred in as Sophomores (although some had completed less than one year at their previous university) and ~100 as Juniors (although some may have actually completed between one and two years at their previous university).
