After ten games, a few observations on the Giants:

1) The Giants have three errors in 10 games, projecting to 48 for the season (Giants had 117 last season). The Diamondbacks led MLB in fewest errors last year with 56. The Giants are currently T8 in fielding percentage, 11th in chances and 14th in putouts, but 4th in assists and first in double plays.

2) Bailey leads MLB in passed balls (2), T3 in errors with 1. Murphy also has a passed ball, so the Giants lead the majors in PBs, but they're tied for best in the majors with just one wild pitch.

3) Giants are 24th in OPS+, but I suspect they'll do better once they clear the Padre and Dodger pitching staffs. They're the only team without a stolen base. They don't have a triple, either. And their OBP is very low at .296. Basically average in both walks and strikeouts.

4) Giants are 25th in runs per game allowed and ERA, 27th in strikeouts, but 7th in fewest walks given up.  21st in WHIP.

BTW, the Pirates batted Joey Bart #9 against Detroit. He went 1 for 2 with a walk and two RBIs. No strikeouts. He's batting .429 and he gave up two more stolen bases. Good for JB.
