Giants lost 6-1 today. Black blanked the Phillies for three innings, they scratched out a run in the fourth. Manager left him in for the 5th inning when he blew up. 10.38 ERA. Not that it mattered, the Phils struck out 13 Giants (11 by former Giants draft pick Zack Wheeler), allowed just four singles, a double and a walk.

Not even June yet and the Giants are tanking like crazy. 16-21, 8 games back of the Dodgers, 3 games back of the last wild card spot, 4th place in the division and on track to win 67 games.

 The only reason he was left in was because the Giants bullpen is beat up. Which is terrific when you’re going into Colorado.

Next nine,  three at Colorado, three at home against the Reds and then the Dodgers for three. Somehow someway they need to win at least five of those games. They gotta start turning this thing around sooner rather than later.

Right now things look bleak.
