I'm actually getting excited about the upcoming 2nd half of the SFG season. Lots of players returning from injury. Players in the field will be strong...Late Night LaMonte at 1B, Estrada at 2B --  coming on strong. Nick Ahmed, still great in the field, Brett Wisely very strong at SS...strong tandem there. Chapman is one of the top three 3B's in baseball, off and def. Patty B. is very strong behind home plate. Conforto is able in LF, and should improve. Ramos is a revelation in CF. Yaz/Slater is a good tandem in RF. Soler always has a very strong second half compared to the first half (and is proving it now). 

The backups...even Villar is hitting .294/.278/.588/.866, Fitzgerald has strong numbers, Casali is serviceable.

And the pitching is coming back...hopefully, they can turn it around. The Giants have won seven of their last 10 against strong opponents in LA, Chi and ATL; and in those games gave up 4.2 runs per game, against a season average of 4.74 runs per game...more than 1/2 run per game better...that would take them from 25th in MLB to 11th in MLB -- and that includes a 14-run outlier game at Chicago. And we get back Snell, who has been dynamite in his rehab. We'll get back Harrison on Saturday. We'll get Ray back post-All Star Break. We'll get Cobb, I believe, at some point.

I think we could sneak into the playoffs, assuming things break the Giants way and we're done with injuries for the time being.
