Article is a bit misleading in that even if only six Ukrainians received training in the EU, at least double that were trained in the US and should be fully ready to go. That said, the extremely slow pace of actually sourcing the aircraft from the alleged suppliers is very worrying. Russia has found out that their corrupt military didn't actually have the resources it claimed it had. Several European countries are demonstrating they have a similar problem, in that the state of their equipment is not as advertised. Shouldn't be a surprise, their governments have been in an "I see nothing!!" mode since the early 90s. As in most things, the only nation with enough mass to easily supply Ukraine is the US, yet for reasons I can't fathom the US is not an enthusiastic supporter of the F-16 effort. We could give Ukraine 50 aircraft without batting an eye. We are replacing F-16s with F-35s continuously. We have a large surplus already and that surplus will only grow.
