[Giants]

The deadline is past and the Giants were clearly sellers. However, they seemed to be selling expensive pieces that didn't really "fit" into their future plans. They have more of those still around. They didn't get rid of all of them. OTOH it wasn't a "fire sale" and arguably they are no worse off on the field now than before the trades were made. They did save a lot of money though :-).

Since this year is a total loss, the #1 objective was getting into a position to avoid the CBT next year by dumping players who were not in the plans for ‘25.  I think the moves today went a long way towards achieving that goal.  

Speaking as a critic of Zaidi, I have to acknowledge his work today.  Well done, Farhan.
