Well, there has only be one other Olympic record in the 1500M. Her's from 2021. . . .
Still amazing that she's a bit faster now than three years ago and still 10 seconds ahead of the silver medalist. She once again has claimed the top 20 times in the event ever. . . .
and she says she wants to compete in LA in 2028!!!
I was really surprised to "remember" that she's only 27. She went to her first Olympics at 15! If anyone can win again at 31, it's Katie. Heck, 30 year old Sarah Sjöström just won gold in the 100M Free. Sarah's post swim interview was a hoot. She was stunned: "20 year olds are supposed to win the 100 Free, not 30 year olds. . . ." or something like that. Fun stuff. . . .
