I agree that carriers are rugged. To really damage their ability to operate isn't easy. However, if they have aircraft on the deck those aircraft aren't so rugged. A relatively small explosion can start a very bad fire that will detonate the weapons on the other aircraft. A "lucky shot" is possible. However, armed aircraft in a friendly port are not very probable. FPVs in port can do some damage. The again, so can mortars. Definitely not a game changer.
