Bottom line:  Not thrilling.  Zaidi has his work cut out.  Job 1- sign Chapman.  He wants to stay and he’s been one of the best players in the National League this year. They let him go and the infield looks  like an absolute mess. Particularly if Fitzgerald is an illusion.

He's one of the few hitters who actually thrive at Oracle. 21 HRs, may finish with 24 or so. He also has 33 doubles. His OPS is .775, just a sliver below his career OPS of .788. His batting average is his best in five years.

Here's the fun part: he has 13 stolen bases in 15 attempts. During the other seven years of his career, he's stolen 11 bases, collectively.

We really need him. Give him a four year contract, five if he wants it.
