Giants (74-78) beat Orioles, 5-3. Orioles are #3 team in the AL. They also recently acquired Stanford alum Slater, who struck out in his only pinch-hitting attempt of the game.

Stanford alum Miller "earned" his 13th hold by allowing two hits in 1/3rd of an inning. ERA currently 3.50. Stanford grad Beck is on the roster, they're looking for places/times to pitch him.

Miller was hit hard.  He has had some great outings and some really bad ones.  What will it take for him to become more consistent?  

Slater - heading down the home stretch of his career.  His go-to has always been pinch hitting v. lefties.  Tonight, he fanned in a key point in the game.  Now he is barely above the Mendoza line.  A good guy - I hope he has a post season moment to remember….

Beck - I’m looking forward to seeing him next spring.  I think he will be solid contributor as a long guy/spot starter.
