I agree with Mick on Zaidi's job prospects. He's gone when the season ends.
Organizations often mirror the guy in charge and at the minor league level SF is no longer seen as a a player friendly organization. My handful of connections are in the farm system (so not comprehensive) and they see erratic moves that jerk around favorite players, dislike the machine like analytics only approach, and chafe about the lack of communication around strategy. The actual players are more circumspect but I know of several families which celebrated when their player was traded.
Maybe the SF front office team feels differently and is happier with Zaidi and his approach. A GM has to make a lot of stakeholders happy so it's no big surprise that one of the stakeholder groups is unhappy. However, this feels like a bad fit. Unless he's treating and communicating with the other stakeholders much differently he hasn't built up the good will to weather this season.
