UCSB only won 2 conference regular season games and got into the tournament by making the conference tourney championship game and winning on PKs. Assuming we win that, we'll likely play #6 seed Rutgers in Fayetteville. Against common opponents: we both beat NC State 2-0 (us away, Rutgers at home); Rutgers tied Wake Forest at home, we lost to WF 1-0 away; and we beat U$C at home 1-0 while Rutgers tied U$C 1-1 at Big 10 tourney neutral site in semifinal (advanced to championship game on PKs, where UCLA beat them 5-0). Certainly a competitive but winnable game for us. If we win that, we get 2-seed Arkansas in the regional semifinal.

A higher seed than I expected, and slightly above Stanford’s RPI of 13. I thought they would fall to the 4/5 line.

On the one hand, I have no read on the SEC teams; so I have no idea if Miss St and Arkansas ate legit. On the other hand, injuries have greatly diminished the team. I expect they should at least win the first game, but winning 2 maybe 3 games is probably their best case this year.
