Someone here recently called Stanford a hospital with a university attached to it.  Does the BoT have oversight responsibilities for Stanford Hospital?  If so, that would be an additional reason that it makes sense that the new board chair is a leader in the healthcare industry.

I'm not sure of the relationship between the SHC's BoD and the University's BoT.
