This strikes me as very wishful thinking, but after Syria, who knows (that being said, the Russians are meeting with the new Syrian regime, so the more things change, the more they stay the same).

The author says that dominoes are falling against Russia, but I don't understand how some of the examples of recent developments listed in the article constitute negative events for Russia.  The author refers to recent events in Belarus and Georgia, for example, but the events described make it sound like Russia's influence is increasing in those countries.
