The author says that dominoes are falling against Russia, but I don't understand how some of the examples of recent developments listed in the article constitute negative events for Russia.  The author refers to recent events in Belarus and Georgia, for example, but the events described make it sound like Russia's influence is increasing in those countries.

I had a similar reaction.  Georgia is moving towards Russia, so the dominoes theory only works if the Georgian people stage a "color revolution" against Georgian Dream.  It could happen, but my sense is that Georgian Dream is consolidating power.  Likewise in Belarus, it is possible that Lukoshenko goes the way of Yanukovic, but he could also... not.  That's why I said it was a bit of wishful thinking.
