The catch is the champion was determined by best record in the league. There were no playoffs. The league implemented a playoff game for the title in 1933 when the NFL split into two divisions.

Following BC’s query re: the number of players who would have won three consecutive rings had KC won this year’s Super Bowl, I looked to see how many Packers were on all three title teams in 1965, 66, and 67?
Any guesses?
a lot of them given the relative lack of mobility for players back then
